Auto-launch when you connect to pub wifi

Install the PWA

Open this site in Safari, tap Share, then 'Add to Home Screen'. Give it a name and tap Add.

Open the Shortcuts app

Pre-installed on iOS. If you deleted it, grab it from the App Store — it's free.

Go to the Automation tab

At the bottom of the Shortcuts app. This is where event-based triggers live.

Create a Personal Automation

Tap + in the top right, then choose 'Wi-Fi' as your trigger.

Set the trigger

Choose 'When I connect to any network' for maximum coverage, or pick specific pub wifi names.

Add the action

Search for 'Open App', then select the Pub WiFi Survival Kit from your home screen apps.

Turn off 'Ask Before Running'

The crucial bit. Disable the confirmation prompt so the app launches automatically.

Note: Works best with the PWA installed to your home screen. Safari web apps get their own process and launch instantly — much faster than a browser tab.
